About EAQAT

The MNIT HSDS Enterprise Accessibility Quality Assurance Test (EAQAT) team is your first choice for accessibility and usability testing of state software products. The EAQAT team ensures Section 508 Compliance and WCAG 2.1, Levels A and AA, guidelines are followed for state IT products. The EAQAT team is available to help with accessibility requirements, defect resolutions, and testing. Contact any EAQAT team member to invite them to a kick-off meeting. The EAQAT team can also arrange a demonstration of assistive technology tools that end users may utilize to help improve your understanding of these products.

More Information About the EAQAT Team
The MNIT HSDS Enterprise Accessibility Quality Assurance Test (EAQAT) team was formed in 2017 to complement the SIT/functional Quality Assurance test teams. The EAQAT team does not test functionality of state IT products. Instead, the EAQAT team executes tests using assistive technology tools and methods to ensure end users will be successful when using state IT products—whether those be applications or PDF forms. While testing, the EAQAT team reports WCAG violations that are common to IT projects. The EAQAT team collaborates with development/technical teams to demonstrate the accessibility violations encountered during testing. As a way to help project team members, the EAQAT team provides recommendations to resolve these issues.
The Accessibility University (AU) website is dedicated to helping business analysts and developers understand accessibility and usability issues when applications and/or PDF forms have not been coded for assistive technology users and when violations are discovered. This website has a search feature on the home page where visitors to the site can input a word or phrase that directs them to the area of interest. Visitors will also notice the top 5 topics that the EAQAT team considers to be the most common or important.
